Jakarta, June 24, 2026 – President Prabowo Subianto has opened a new avenue for public participation by inviting Indonesians to take part in selecting the official logo for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence. Today, the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Ministry of State Secretariat, and the Government Communications Agency (Bakom RI) officially launched a public polling platform for the 2026 Independence Day logo selection.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed his support for active public participation in selecting the official logo for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence, in Jakarta on Wednesday (June 24, 2026).
“This year marks a new milestone in the history of Indonesia’s Independence Day logo selection. For the first time ever, under the direction of President Prabowo, the public is being actively involved in choosing the official logo through a public polling process, which will run from June 24 to June 28, 2026,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.

Indonesia's 81st Independence Day Logo Polling Platform
The five logo designs presented on the platform represent the best submissions from professional graphic designers across Indonesia. The designs were selected through a rigorous curation process involving the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Ministry of State Secretariat, and the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association (ADGI). Each logo offers a unique visual interpretation of this year’s Independence Day theme.

Minister Teuku Riefky explained that the logo competition attracted 124 participants from various regions across Indonesia. The Ministry of Creative Economy played a key role in encouraging participation from the nation’s creative talents and ensuring a professional selection process, which ultimately resulted in five finalists whose works are now being voted on by the public.

David Wirawan (Surakarta)
Fajar Novario (Padang)
Kanda Putra (Denpasar)
Riskiawan (Malang)
Tiffany Djohan (Batam)

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro announced that the government has officially adopted “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia” as the theme for the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence.
According to Juri, public involvement in the logo selection process reflects a direct directive from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure that the commemoration of Indonesia’s independence truly belongs to all Indonesians.
As a token of appreciation for public participation, the organizing committee has prepared a range of prizes for 300 selected participants. These include:
100 invitations to attend the Independence Day Flag-Raising Ceremony at the Presidential Palace,
100 official Independence Day souvenir packages, and
100 educational assistance grants.
The initiative is expected to strengthen public engagement and foster a greater sense of ownership in the national celebration while highlighting the important role of Indonesia’s creative community in shaping national identity.
