Bandung, 10 August 2025 – President Prabowo Subianto attended the Operational Troop Deployment Ceremony and the Military Honors Ceremony held at Suparlan Air Base, Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, Bandung, West Java. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya was also present, accompanied by members of the Merah Putih Cabinet.

“Today, we are conducting an operational troop deployment ceremony and a military honors ceremony. It is an honor for me to be here. I extend my gratitude to the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, all TNI leaders, and all ministries that have provided support,” President Prabowo stated in his remarks on Sunday, 10 August 2025.
In his speech, the President emphasized the readiness of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to face any form of challenge in order to uphold the nation’s sovereignty. He reminded the audience of the importance of understanding the nation’s history of struggle so that future generations, particularly young soldiers, remember that Indonesia once endured a long period of colonization that diminished the dignity of its people.

“Our nation is great and rich, but for hundreds of years it was disturbed, invaded, and colonized. Our ancestors were once enslaved and treated worse than animals. That is why our nation needs a strong military. No nation can be truly independent without a strong army,” President Prabowo asserted, underscoring that equitable development strengthens the meaning of independence.
Meanwhile, the presence of Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky reflected full support for the government’s commitment to strengthening national defense and enhancing inter-ministerial synergy. The attendance of the Merah Putih Cabinet highlighted cross-sectoral support for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and security. His presence symbolized the government’s unified efforts to build a strong, sovereign, and prosperous nation.

Following the ceremony, Minister Teuku Riefky expressed his admiration for the advanced primary weapons systems (alutsista) and the preparedness of TNI personnel in facing various potential military threats and assaults. He also praised the TNI’s exceptional readiness as the frontline force in providing humanitarian assistance.
