Jakarta, January 21, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, highlighted the significant potential of the beauty industry within the creative economy sector, particularly in the rising trend of fashion aesthetics.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky made this statement during a meeting with Indonesia Fashion Aesthetic (IFA) at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He also expressed his readiness to collaborate in advancing the creative industry within the fashion and beauty sectors.
“The beauty industry holds immense potential to become a backbone of Indonesia’s economy and create new job opportunities. We appreciate IFA’s efforts in promoting fashion aesthetics, which is currently experiencing a strong trend,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
“With the right support, this industry can grow rapidly and bring significant benefits to Indonesia’s economy,” he added, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also expressed his hopes for Indonesia’s beauty industry to expand into the global market, emphasizing the importance of public support in achieving this goal.
“We are ready to collaborate with Indonesia Fashion Aesthetic to support the growth of Indonesia’s creative industry. We appreciate IFA’s efforts in developing fashion aesthetics and hope this collaboration will help Indonesia’s creative industry reach international markets. We also aim to raise public awareness about the importance of supporting local products and the creative industry,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

The meeting was attended by IFA Chairperson Devya Linda and her team, who warmly welcomed the collaboration initiative proposed by Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
“We find this collaboration highly positive. The willingness of the Ministry of Creative Economy to work with Indonesia Fashion Aesthetic is truly encouraging. We hope this partnership will help Indonesia’s fashion and aesthetics industry expand into international markets and further strengthen the country’s creative economy,” said IFA representative, Dyan Komalasary.
