The meeting focused on efforts to elevate the Indonesian film ecosystem on the global stage.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky expressed his appreciation for the Bali International Film Festival (Berlinale), which, at its 18th edition, has gained global recognition. Berlinale has presented numerous films and served as a platform for creators to advance the Indonesian film industry.
"I highly appreciate Balinale's achievement in becoming an international film festival and receiving global recognition. This is a testament to the fact that the creative industry, especially filmmaking, holds great potential to boost the national economy," said the Minister of Creative Economy.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also supported Balinale 2025, which envisions Sanur as a hub for a globally recognized film and entertainment industry. In addition to being a co-host, the Ministry of Creative Economy's support includes amplifying film promotion, facilitating collaboration opportunities, and coordinating with local governments to support the development of the film industry.

"We support Balinale 2025 and Sanur as a center for the global film and entertainment industry," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
The Bali Film Center (BFC), established in 2002, is an institution that provides services related to film permits and production management, including location management, research, crew, and equipment. This year, Berlinale became the only film festival in Indonesia that qualified for the Oscars in the Best Short Film category.
Founder of BFC & Balinale, Deborah Gabinetti, expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Creative Economy/Minister of the Creative Economy Agency for the opportunity to discuss the Bali International Film Festival. She hopes that the collaboration between the Bali International Film Festival and the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency will elevate Indonesian filmmaking on the global stage.
