Jakarta, January 15, 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, held a meeting with the Presidential Chief of Staff, Anto Mukti Putranto, at the Presidential Staff Office Meeting Room in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. During the meeting, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky presented the national priority programs aimed at driving economic growth in alignment with the mission of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
In the discussion with the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP), Minister Riefky elaborated on the Ministry of Creative Economy as a newly established ministry, highlighting its opportunities, challenges, and the expected collaboration with KSP to support national priority programs, particularly the President's 'Quick Win' initiatives.
"Today, we presented to him about the Ministry of Creative Economy as a new ministry, outlining our ongoing efforts, the opportunities and challenges we face, and the collaborations we hope to establish, especially in supporting national priority programs and the President's quick win initiatives," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also expressed his full support for national priority programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meals initiative and food estate projects. For the Free Nutritious Meals program, the Ministry of Creative Economy plans to provide training for chefs, involving partner chefs from the creative economy sector. Meanwhile, for the food estate initiative, the Ministry of Creative Economy will assist local communities in identifying creative economy potentials, offering training and sustainable income opportunities for creative economy players in the surrounding areas.
“One of the key priority programs is supporting the Free Nutritious Meals initiative. We are ready to provide training for chefs by involving partner chefs from the Ministry of Creative Economy,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
The Presidential Chief of Staff welcomed the visit from the Ministry of Creative Economy. During the meeting, he received an overview of the ministry's flagship programs, which are aligned with the national priority programs, including the Quick Win initiatives championed by President Prabowo. These programs encompass 17 subsectors, aiming to boost the national economy, with a particular focus on the digital creative economy, which resonates with the younger generation.
"Essentially, the Ministry of Creative Economy presented their entire team today. Thank you, Mr. Minister. He has outlined flagship programs that are aligned with the national priority initiatives set by the President, including the Quick Wins," said Chief of Staff Anto Mukti Putranto.
He also stated that the Presidential Staff Office is ready to support and assist Kemenekraf in executing these programs, particularly in coordinating with other ministries. The discussion is expected to breathe new life into Indonesia's economy and provide a platform for young creatives whose talents are yet to be fully recognized.
"I observed that several of the Ministry of Creative Economy flagship programs intersect with other ministries. So, the Minister will not be working alone. It is our duty to assist and facilitate coordination efforts on the ground," added Chief of Staff Anto Mukti Putranto.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya was accompanied by Deputy Minister Irene Umar, Deputy for Strategic Creative Economy Development Cecep Rukendi, and Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu.
