Five civil servants from the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency are taking part in the Basic Military Training (Latsarmil) for the Reserve Component (Komcad) for Fiscal Year 2026.
“Through this program, civil servants are not only strengthened in capacity, but also shaped in discipline and the spirit of national defense as the foundation for transforming work culture,” said Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, on Thursday (April 23).
The Minister added that character building will enhance the contribution of the creative economy sector as a new engine of growth in supporting the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. Strengthening the capacity of civil servants also includes instilling national values and the spirit of defending the country as part of integrity in carrying out their duties.
The five ASN from the Ministry are participating in the first batch of Latsarmil Komcad, which was officially opened at Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, on Wednesday (April 22). The Latsarmil Komcad program will run until June 5, 2026, focusing on building discipline, resilience, and a sense of solidarity. Participation in this program is voluntary and not a form of mandatory military service, but rather part of strengthening the total defense system.
This participation also aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to promote a more productive and efficient work culture among civil servants. Through the spirit of #KitaMulaiCaraBaru, the Ministry continues to internalize values such as discipline, responsibility, and awareness of efficiency, including the implementation of energy-saving practices in the workplace.
The Ministry views participation in the Latsarmil Komcad program as a long-term investment in the quality of its civil servants. The values of discipline, resilience, and collective work developed during the training are expected to be applied in daily duties, thereby enhancing a more effective and results-oriented bureaucracy.
Also present at the event was the Head of the Bureau of Legal Affairs, Human Resources, and Organization of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Moch. Nurul Huda, who attended the opening ceremony as a form of institutional support for employees carrying out state duties.
