Jakarta, 2 April, 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed appreciation for the presence of Butter Baby, which combines culinary offerings with character development based on intellectual property (IP).
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, conducted a visit and audience at the Butter Baby outlet in the Pasaraya Blok M area, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 2, 2026).
Butter Baby is a local brand operating in the food and beverage sector while also developing IP through product offerings focused on children and family-oriented menus with iconic characters.
“I see extraordinary potential in Butter Baby, which not only offers culinary products but has also succeeded in building a strong character ecosystem as a national IP asset,” said the Minister during his visit to the Butter Baby outlet in Pasaraya Blok M, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 2).
In this regard, the Ministry of Creative Economy welcomes Butter Baby’s plan to open an outlet while also showcasing a giant character statue installation as a tourist attraction at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on June 19, 2026.
“We warmly welcome this synergy, ranging from strengthening communication through official government channels to symbolic collaboration during the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. My presence at the Grand Opening on June 19, 2026, reflects our full commitment to supporting the works of Indonesia’s creative talents that bring pride to the nation,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.
CEO of Butter Baby, Shane John Lewis, stated that the support from the Ministry of Creative Economy reinforces the company’s strategic steps to advance its broader vision of expanding into international markets, particularly Thailand and Malaysia. Through this effort, Butter Baby aims to further establish local brands in the culinary and IP sectors on the global stage.

The Minister of Creative Economy expressed hope that Butter Baby’s presence at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will serve as a showcase of Indonesia’s creativity, leaving a strong impression on international passengers. This also reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to elevating local brands so they can compete in the global market.
