Minister of Creative Economy Supports Global Expansion of Anjungan Nusantara to Promote Local Creative Products

Jakarta, June 4, 2025 — Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, welcomed the team from Anjungan Nusantara to discuss potential collaboration in marketing products from the craft, fashion, and culinary subsectors. The Indonesian government encourages the global expansion of Anjungan Nusantara as a platform to showcase local creative products to the world.

“Anjungan Nusantara can serve as a strategic space to introduce creative economy-based products both nationally and internationally. The Ministry of Creative Economy is actively promoting quality local products to reach global markets,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the meeting held at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The Minister also encouraged Anjungan Nusantara to broaden its network of collaborations with various stakeholders. He highlighted that Anjungan Nusantara is already recognized as a promotional platform for distinctive Indonesian products on a global scale.

“Collaborative approaches can certainly be established with other ministries and institutions through festivals that combine cultural richness and local product promotion in creative economy subsectors such as crafts, fashion, and culinary arts,” added Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Anjungan Nusantara is not only present in Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta, but has also expanded internationally to Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, and Milan, with upcoming locations in Hat Yai, Thailand, and Sanya, China.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that building strong partnerships is essential for Anjungan Nusantara to effectively bridge Indonesian products into the global market. These initiatives align with the Ministry's Akselerasi Ekspor Kreasi Indonesia (ASIK) program, aimed at accelerating creative product exports.

“The Ministry is committed to enhancing access for local products by supporting quality improvement and ensuring production continuity. We're currently curating products for the ASIK 2025 program, and once they meet market criteria, they can be promoted through Anjungan Nusantara,” he explained.

Dadam Mahdar, Acting Director of Visual and Performing Arts at the Ministry of Creative Economy, also emphasized the importance of curation to ensure products align with current global trends.

“We plan to develop a cluster system to help identify and recommend which creative economy players or local products are best suited to enter the market through Anjungan Nusantara,” said Dadam.

Anjungan Nusantara is a retail enterprise under PT Pelita Mas Jaya Wisata that helps Indonesian MSMEs distribute and promote their products. Its mission is to serve as a hub for introducing distinctive Indonesian products, tourism, and cultural assets.

“Anjungan Nusantara is a ‘one-stop promotion service’ concept where we promote Indonesian products, tourism, culture, and everything related to MSMEs. For example, our Jakarta location, reopening on July 18, will host weekend activities featuring culinary communities, dance performances, MSME workshops, and free cultural stage shows,” said Irfan Utamin, Head of Anjungan Nusantara.

The Anjungan Nusantara team also emphasized the importance of recognizing young Indonesian talents who bring pride to the nation. During the audience, they introduced Zelda Leo, the First Prize Winner of the 2025 National Singing Curation, who will represent Indonesia as a cultural delegate in Paris.

“Today’s meeting is also a plea for support so more MSMEs can go global, as demand for Indonesian products is strong. Additionally, we request recognition certificates for talented youths, so they stay motivated and consistent in their creative pursuits,” Irfan added.

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky was accompanied by Septriana Tangkary (Expert Staff for Marketing and Infrastructure) and Dadam Mahdar (Acting Director of Visual and Performing Arts). Representing Anjungan Nusantara were Elsye (Chairperson, Anjungan Nusantara Jakarta), Dedi Handoko (Coordinator, Anjungan Nusantara Kuala Lumpur), and Zelda Leo, cultural delegate and winner of the 2025 National Singing Curation.
