Jakarta, June 5, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed appreciation for the film Hayya 3: Gaza, recognizing it not only as a work of art but also as a form of soft diplomacy. He emphasized the role of the film industry in raising public awareness about humanitarian issues.

“This film is not just a piece of art—it is an act of empathy and diplomacy that aligns with the directive of President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto,” said Minister Teuku Riefky during a meeting with PT Warna Kreasi Sinema at Gedung Film Pesona Indonesia, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
PT Warna Kreasi Sinema is a production house known for consistently highlighting religious and social themes, including in Hayya 3: Gaza, which is set to premiere at a Gala event on June 8, 2025.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to support this film, including by facilitating both online and offline promotional efforts,” added Minister Teuku Riefky.
The Minister also stated that the Ministry will collaborate with various stakeholders, including public figures and influencers, to help expand the film’s reach. At the same event, Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu, underscored the importance of maximizing momentum through strong preparation.
“We will encourage the involvement of regional creative economy offices to help ensure the success of this film’s release,” said Deputy Agustini.
Executive Producer of Hayya 3: Gaza, Ustaz Erick Yusuf, welcomed the support warmly. He highlighted that the Ministry's involvement opens up greater opportunities to optimize the potential of local films and sustain independent filmmakers.
“We hope the support extends beyond a single genre, encouraging growth across all types of films and fostering closer collaboration between the government and film industry players,” said Ustaz Erick.

The meeting was also attended by key figures behind Hayya 3: Gaza, including director Jastis Arimba, production house director Ady Widyarta, promotions team member Frans Umar, as well as writers and producers Helvy Tiana Rosa and Asma Nadia. Lead actor Azamy Syauqi and producer Ory Vitrio were also present. From the Ministry, Minister Teuku Riefky was accompanied by Special Advisor for Strategic Issues and Interagency Affairs, Rian Firmansyah, and Director of Film, Animation, and Video, Doni Setiawan.
Hayya 3: Gaza follows the story of Abdullah Gaza (played by Azamy Syauqi), an orphan living in a shelter run by Ustazah Dewi (Oki Setiana Dewi) and her sister Rafah (Cut Syifa). At the shelter, Gaza meets Hayya (Amna Shahab), a young girl from Palestine who has lived in Indonesia for four years, seeking peace.
Due to ongoing genocide in Palestine, Hayya is unable to return home. Over time, a close bond forms between Gaza and Hayya. For Hayya, Gaza’s name is a comforting reminder of her homeland. Their shared experiences bring joy and healing—until a new threat emerges, once again putting their lives in danger.
