“As we enter the era of digitalization and global transformation, the creative economy has become one of the key pillars supporting economic growth. Through the Entrepreneurs Leadership Conference 2026, we aim to bring together the government, MSME players, academics, and the creative ecosystem to address the challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs amid economic changes and rapid digital acceleration,” he explained.
Responding to this plan, the Minister of Creative Economy stated that the Ministry’s main task is to identify and develop local heroes from the existing 17 creative economy subsectors so they can go global. Therefore, the Ministry is ready to collaborate and participate in the activities organized by HIPMI PT UGM.
“So indeed, the Ministry’s task is to ensure that regional brands, local brands, or local heroes can go national. Our national champions will then be curated further to go global. I am interested in explaining this to the students there, identifying creative economy players to support and mentor them so we can accelerate their growth and help them move up from the regional to the national level,” he added.
