Jakarta, May 11, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is ready to facilitate the development of the book “Mode Indonesia,” described as the first documentation initiative to compile Indonesian designers from various eras. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the book holds strategic value in strengthening the nation’s cultural identity through the works of Indonesian designers.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received an audience with the Mode Indonesia community led by senior fashion designer Samuel Wattimena at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office in Jakarta on Monday (11/5/2026).
“This is a very important documentation effort for the development of Indonesian fashion. The foundations for publication, intellectual property protection, and distribution schemes must also be carefully prepared so that the benefits can be sustained in the long term,” said the Minister of Creative Economy while receiving the Mode Indonesia community, led by senior fashion designer Samuel Wattimena, at Autograph Tower in Jakarta on Monday (11/5).
The Ministry of Creative Economy is facilitating cross-sector coordination, including opening discussions with the Directorate of Intellectual Property Facilitation Development and the Directorate of Publishing and Photography of the Ministry of Creative Economy to strengthen the future development of the book.
