Minister of Creative Economy Supports SARGA’s IP-Based Events to Foster Cross-Subsector Creative Synergy in 2026

Jakarta, 18 December 2025 — Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed full support for the development of Intellectual Property (IP) initiatives by PT Kuda Pacu Indonesia, also known as SARGA.CO. This support aims to create cross-subsector synergies within the creative economy to unlock regional potential in the coming year. The statement was delivered during an audience with the SARGA.CO management at Autograph Tower Building, Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, on Thursday, 18 December 2025, which discussed collaboration for the Indonesia Rising Stars (IRS) Award 2026.

Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, menerima audiensi dari PT. Kuda Pacu Indonesia atau SARGA.CO di Kantor Kementerian Ekraf, Jakarta, Kamis (18/12/2025).

“The Indonesian creative economy has become the new mining, where many local champions bring IP concepts to be commercialized. Through the motto the new engine of growth, which starts from the regions, this spirit strongly aligns with SARGA’s IP-based events. Moreover, the Ministry of Creative Economy has 150 partner associations across 17 creative economy subsectors that can be collaboratively engaged,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.

The Minister of Creative Economy assessed that activities such as Indonesia Horse Racing, the Sarga Festival, and the IRS Awards 2026 not only contribute to building a healthy and professional horse racing ecosystem, but also enhance entertainment value and creative economic value through the involvement of MSMEs. In strengthening its IP identity, SARGA also offers unique official merchandise available through Tokopedia SARGA.CO.

“Creative economy downstreaming occurs when innovative technological and creative touches result in derivative IPs that can be commercialized, while remaining original. Moreover, the Ministry of Creative Economy has the Creative Acceleration Program (AKTIF), which continuously seeks local heroes to scale nationally and eventually globally. This is also supported by President Prabowo’s Asta Cita, which recognizes the significant potential of the creative industry in advancing the national economy,” the Minister of Creative Economy added.

PT Kuda Pacu Indonesia, or SARGA.CO, is the first and only equestrian sports event promoter in Indonesia. Through collaboration with the Central Executive Board of the All Indonesia Equestrian Sports Federation (PP PORDASI), SARGA.CO has successfully organized nine series of Indonesia’s Horse Racing (IHR) under the theme The Race of Rising Stars. These events have ushered Indonesian horse racing into a more professional and prestigious era, while also generating positive impacts on tourism, MSMEs, and the creative economy sector.

“One of the roles of the Ministry of Creative Economy is to act as a matchmaker. This means connecting ecosystems that need each other so they can support and link with one another. This approach addresses challenges such as IP facilitation and the protection of creative outputs themselves,” said Expert Staff to the Minister for Strategic and Inter-Institutional Issues, Gemintang Kejora Mallarangeng.

As the closing series of IHR 2025, SARGA.CO plans to hold the Indonesia Rising Stars (IRS) Award 2026 as a platform to recognize achievements, dedication, and passion within the equestrian ecosystem, as well as brands and corporations that have emerged as newcomers in their respective categories and industries.

“It turns out that the Ministry of Creative Economy has many subsector lines that can be collaborated on, especially as the creative industry continues to grow. This aligns with SARGA.CO, which actively supports creative economies outside the Greater Jakarta area and involves many creative talents. There is tremendous potential for long-term collaboration and strong synergy to mutually support one another,” said VP of Marketing & Operations of SARGA.CO, Kevin Jonathan.

During the audience, the Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu. Also present were CEO of SARGA GROUP Aseanto Oudang; Managing Director of SARGA GROUP Nugdha Achadie; Business Director of SARGA.CO Diana Airin; GM of Marketing Strategy of SARGA.CO Agung Bramanto; GM of Corporate Communication of SARGA.CO Esther D. Ginting; and VP of Sales of SARGA.CO Ginta Kamka.
