“We welcome Sixerhood’s initiative in fostering a spirit of literacy. Activities like this are crucial because building a culture of reading and writing cannot rely solely on classroom instruction—it also requires creative and committed communities,” said the Minister of Creative Economy while receiving the Sixerhood delegation at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta.
The “Sixerhood Bercerita: TELISIX Vol.1” program was initiated in response to the rising enthusiasm for literacy in Indonesia. Schools are encouraged to serve as facilitators that actively support the development of reading and writing culture. This initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration between media practitioners and academics to strengthen synergy and expand literacy access across various social groups.
“I hope that ‘Sixerhood Bercerita: TELISIX’ does not remain merely an annual event but grows into a long-term movement that nurtures literacy, creativity, and pride in producing works among the younger generation,” the Minister added.
