Jakarta, 20 November 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received a delegation from Sentral Data Utama Media Group to discuss the concept of the international diaspora event themed “Fashion, Music, and Indonesian Youth Motivation” under the title Indonesia Next.

“The creative economy is indeed the ‘new mining,’ because countries with a strong creative economy have deep cultural roots. Sooner or later, global trends will seek this, and Indonesia, with its extraordinary cultural wealth, will become a key reference and a source of new value,” said Minister Riefky during the audience at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Thursday, 20 November 2025.
Minister Riefky emphasized the importance of initiatives like Indonesia Next as a way to map the potential of Indonesian human resources abroad, while strengthening their contributions to the national creative economy ecosystem. He also highlighted the strategic role of storytelling in increasing the added value of creative products and enhancing global competitiveness.

CEO of Sentral Data Utama Media Group, Wim Tangkilisan, explained that Indonesia Next is designed as both a cultural celebration and a collaborative space for the young diaspora to expand Indonesia’s influence internationally. The meeting also served as a reporting forum for the Media Group’s key initiatives, including Pinterpolitik.com, DuPictures.id, and Salty Palms Studio, which focus on strengthening networks among Indonesian creative diaspora abroad.
“We hope that diaspora members from diverse backgrounds will come to Indonesia to share their experiences, knowledge, and success stories, creating creative benefits across sectors from music and culinary arts to fashion,” Wim Tangkilisan stated.

Through this concept, the diaspora is expected not only to represent Indonesian culture but also to act as agents of transformation, driving the growth of creative subsectors through idea exchange, innovation, and mutually reinforcing global networks.
The audience was also attended by San Tobias, Director of DuPictures.id; Alfin Zulkifar, representative of Salty Palms Studio; and representatives from Pinterpolitik.com. Minister Riefky was accompanied by Deputy for Digital and Technological Creativity Muhammad Neil El Himam, Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu, and Director of Music Muhammad Amin.
