Jakarta, 13 February, 2026 — The National Movement for the Development of Green and Blue Open Spaces (GALANG RTHB) was officially launched as a national policy direction as well as a starting point for collective consolidation in implementing the simultaneous development of open spaces. Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized GALANG RTHB as part of strengthening cross-sectoral synergy in the development of sustainable urban open spaces.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the Townhall Meeting and the Launch of the National Movement for the Development of Green and Blue Open Spaces (GALANG RTHB) at Tebet Eco Park, Jakarta, Friday (February 13, 2026).
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that the event represents the implementation of the National Movement for a Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful Indonesia (ASRI), initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. The movement aims to shift the paradigm of urban development—from viewing green and blue spaces merely as aesthetic elements to positioning them as life-supporting infrastructure that enhances quality of life and strengthens resilience to the climate crisis.
“We need facilities, we need spaces that enable this to happen. At the same time, these spaces can serve as centers of productivity and the creative economy, acting as one of the drivers of local economic growth and opening up job opportunities, including for MSME players. The working principle of GALANG RTHB is, of course, collaborative—we all work together, through orchestration, not merely participation,” said Coordinating Minister AHY during the Townhall Meeting and the Launch of GALANG RTHB at Tebet Eco Park, Jakarta, on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky, who was present and engaged in dialogue during the event, stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy welcomed the launch of GALANG RTHB as a strategic step to improve the quality of the urban environment while also building healthier, more resilient, and sustainable living spaces for communities. According to Teuku Riefky, green and blue open spaces hold significant potential to be developed as open creative spaces capable of driving community economic activities.

“We see that the placemaking approach expected from RTHB positions it as a space that we can activate by making it easier for communities, especially creative communities,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.
He added that open spaces can also be utilized for various inclusive and sustainable activities. The Ministry of Creative Economy also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously support the development of open spaces as centers of social interaction, creativity, and inclusive and sustainable creative economy growth.
“Green and blue open spaces are very important, because in places like these, various activities can actually be carried out, including training-related activities such as workshops or dialogues like today, and even festivals or performance events,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.
The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (BPN) Ossy Darmawan, Secretary to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Ayodhia G. L. Kalake, and several deputies from the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
