Jakarta, January 20, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, has expressed his support for the organization of an art, culture, education, and sports exhibition set to take place at SMP Labschool Kebayoran.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky conveyed this during a meeting with the Foundation for the Development of Jakarta State University (UNJ) and several Labschool students serving as event committee members. The meeting was held in the 12th-floor conference room of the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta.
“Labschool has become a widely recognized model school. Supporting its activities means fostering the growth of young generations, ensuring that creative economy enthusiasts have a platform to showcase their talents and achieve excellence,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
Yuke Sri Rahayu, Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, also expressed appreciation for the event, noting that it serves as a platform for the younger generation to showcase their talents and interests. She highlighted its strong connection to several creative economy subsectors, such as culinary arts, crafts, fashion, performing arts, and dance.
“We can help publicize the upcoming Labschool event next month. This will boost participant registration and overall enthusiasm for the event. Annual events like this help shape students into more creative and responsible individuals,” Yuke stated.
Meanwhile, Labschool Kebayoran explained that the Art, Culture, Education, and Sport Exhibition (ACEX) 2025 has been conceptually and systematically designed to cover various fields, including science, technology, sports, arts and culture, and social community engagement. The event also aims to foster inter-school friendships, encourage student competition, and promote both cultural preservation and cultural exchange in Indonesia.
“ACEX 2025 will be an event that fosters critical thinking among students. It encourages collaboration and creative communication. This year’s theme, A World of Wonders, United in Friendship and Victory, celebrates cultural diversity. Hopefully, this initiative will help shape students into the next generation of creative economy pioneers,” said Shinta Dewi, Vice Principal of Labschool Kebayoran.
Also present at the meeting was the Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, Yuke Sri Rahayu.
