Jakarta, 5 October 2025 — President Prabowo Subianto served as the Inspecting Officer at the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) at Monas. President Prabowo emphasized the role of TNI as the backbone of national defense, tasked with protecting and maintaining the security and stability of the nation.

“TNI is the fortress, the fortress of the Republic of Indonesia. TNI is the backbone of Indonesia’s defense, ensuring our sovereignty. TNI must be ready to protect the entire Indonesian nation and all of its territories. They must be prepared to sacrifice everything for the safety of the nation and the people of Indonesia,” said President Prabowo in his address at Monas, Jakarta, on Sunday, 5 October 2025.
President Prabowo added that the TNI must prepare, train, and equip itself with all necessary knowledge while keeping up with technological developments. The TNI is urged to always prioritize the interests of the nation and state.

“I extend my appreciation and thanks for the achievements of TNI to date. TNI has always acted decisively in critical moments and will always prioritize the nation and the people above all else. Thank you also to all TNI personnel who actively support economic development for the benefit of the Indonesian people,” he added.
The 80th TNI Anniversary ceremony was attended by the Red-White Cabinet, including Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya. In alignment with President Prabowo, Minister Riefky highlighted the TNI’s vital role as professional soldiers in maintaining security and national defense.

“Behind national stability and growing economic development, there are personnel working day and night across all units from Sabang to Merauke. Their efforts secure safety and defense so that we can continue to create and progress together. I wish a happy 80th anniversary to all TNI personnel wherever they are,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
In supporting Indonesia’s economic growth, TNI also plays a strategic role characterized by PRIMA: Professional, Responsive, Integrative, Modern, and Adaptive. The Ministry of Creative Economy remains open to collaboration with other ministries and institutions, including security agencies, to advance each subsector of the creative economy toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
“A strong and professional TNI symbolizes power and competence. TNI of the people is always close to the community. On this 80th anniversary, let us synergize to realize a progressive Indonesia,” added Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

The 80th TNI Anniversary carries the theme “TNI PRIMA, TNI Rakyat, Indonesia Maju”, affirming the TNI’s identity as a resilient and disciplined defense force, ready to face global challenges while upholding humanitarian values and nationalism.
Beyond the ceremony, the celebration featured exhibitions of 1,047 main weapon systems, interfaith prayers, free meals for MSME vendors, entertainment stages, military displays, troop parades (100,000–140,000 personnel), air force simulations, and other engaging activities.
The eight-decade milestone of TNI strengthens the spirit of service, defense innovation, and national solidarity, showcasing TNI as an integral part of the people, always present in society.
