Jakarta, June 8, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the inauguration of Tubagus Fiki Chakara Satari as Interim President Director of the Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) TVRI for the 2023–2028 term. The inauguration marks an important milestone in accelerating the transformation of public broadcasting amid the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.

The appointment represents a significant step in strengthening TVRI’s leadership amid the increasingly dynamic media environment and the growing need for public broadcasting transformation in the digital era.
“TVRI holds a strategic position in shaping Indonesia’s narrative while serving as a platform for the creativity and innovation of the nation’s talents. We hope that under its new leadership, TVRI will further strengthen its role as a public broadcasting institution that is relevant, inclusive, and capable of creating broader opportunities for creative economy players across the country,” said Teuku Riefky at the LPP TVRI Headquarters in Jakarta on Monday (June 8).
The Minister of Creative Economy stated that TVRI can serve as an effective channel to introduce Indonesia’s creative economy potential to a wider audience. He also noted that Tubagus Fiki’s close connection to the creative sector provides an important foundation for TVRI to continue adapting to changing audience behavior and advancements in media technology.

Collaboration between the broadcasting industry and the creative economy ecosystem is also expected to create greater opportunities for Indonesian creative works and talents.
“TVRI can serve as a bridge connecting the creativity of creative economy practitioners with the wider public. With its extensive reach, TVRI has the potential to strengthen public appreciation for Indonesian works while opening greater opportunities for creators to grow and thrive,” Teuku Riefky explained.
Tubagus Fiki Chakara Satari is an academic, entrepreneur, and creative industry practitioner with extensive experience in creative economy development and entrepreneurship. In addition to serving as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran, he has also been actively involved in various creative city development initiatives through the Bandung Creative City Forum (BCCF) and the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN).

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LPP TVRI, Agus Sudibyo, stated that the appointment of the Interim President Director was made after careful consideration of the organization’s needs in addressing the evolving challenges of the broadcasting industry.
“We are confident that Tubagus Fiki Chakara Satari possesses the capacity, experience, and vision required to lead TVRI in addressing various challenges while maximizing existing opportunities,” said Agus.
Agus noted that the inauguration comes at a crucial moment. In the near future, TVRI will broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup while simultaneously responding to changing media consumption patterns increasingly influenced by digital platforms, social media, and streaming services.

The appointment of the Interim President Director of LPP TVRI is expected to further strengthen TVRI’s role as a public broadcasting institution that adapts to the changing times while expanding collaboration opportunities between the broadcasting sector and Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem.
