Tangerang, 5 March, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency supports the Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2026 as a solution for the sustainable acceleration of the craft and product design subsector. Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, hopes that IFEX can connect businesses globally while strengthening the creative industry ecosystem with broader export market potential.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya personally inspected the booths of national furniture industry actors at the Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX) 2026, held at International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, on Thursday (March 5, 2026).
“ The Ministry of Creative Economy aims to ensure that creative industry actors in the craft and product design subsector are not only excellent in production but also competitive in design, sustainable raw materials, and global marketing strategies. With a strong ecosystem, Indonesian furniture can become a major player in the global market,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Held at International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, IFEX 2026 serves as a momentum to accelerate the export of Indonesian furniture and crafts. Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized that the event demonstrates that the furniture industry is one of the creative economy subsectors with strong competitiveness and significant contributions to national exports.

“ Exhibitions like IFEX provide an activation platform for Indonesian furniture designers and industry actors to showcase quality, creativity, and innovation to international visitors. The Ministry of Creative Economy will continue to support national furniture products so that they are increasingly recognized and sought after in global markets,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.
As an international-scale furniture and home décor exhibition, IFEX serves as a collaborative meeting point for designers, associations, government, and Indonesian furniture and craft industry actors with buyers, importers, distributors, and other business stakeholders, fostering the growth of a sustainable furniture industry. Held from March 5–8, 2026, IFEX 2026 was organized through the synergy of Himpunan Industri Mebel dan Kerajinan Indonesia (HIMKI) and PT Dyandra Promosindo.

The previous year’s IFEX was considered successful in expanding networks and increasing market exposure in countries including Europe, the United States, China, Australia, and India. Additionally, IFEX 2025 recorded potential transactions valued at USD 350 million with the participation of 500 exhibitors.
The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency’s support for IFEX 2026 includes the construction of a 75 m² booth in Hall 10, showcasing six local craft brands: Abbacraft, Craftote, El Art, Lumosh Living, Manamu, and Passion of Art Indonesia (POAI). Opportunities for showcasing creative collaborations are also realized through the designer-manufacturer collaboration project on rattan products via the RaRe Project (Rattan Refreshed & Regeneration) in the Hallway of Hall 5.

During his visit to IFEX 2026, Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya also inspected various booths of national furniture industry actors showcasing a wide range of flagship products made from wood, rattan, and eco-friendly materials. Exhibitors included Kriya Nusantara, Simetris Asia Rotan, the Jepara Pavilion, and several other booths presenting innovative designs and production quality capable of competing in international markets.
