Jakarta, June 2, 2025 – A total of 94 civil servant candidates (CPNS) at the Ministry of Creative Economy took part in an induction held at the Auditorium of Gedung Film Pesona Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday, June 2, 2025. This induction aimed to introduce the candidates to the ministry's organizational structure, work systems, institutional environment, assignments, civil service regulations, and fundamental knowledge expected of government employees.

Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized in his opening remarks that the presence of civil servants within the Ministry is part of a greater effort to build an innovative and adaptive work culture.
“This year, the Ministry of Creative Economy welcomes 94 CPNS, consisting of 55 women and 39 men. Their presence will bring new energy and enthusiasm to develop further an inclusive creative economy ecosystem that offers equal opportunities for young talents across Indonesia,” said Minister Riefky.
He expressed his hope that this new generation of creative bureaucracy will carry a spirit of collaboration in navigating the ever-changing landscape of today’s world. As state civil apparatus (ASN), he reminded them to uphold the core values that guide public service behavior: service-oriented, accountable, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative—values collectively known as “BerAKHLAK.”
“Welcome to the Ministry of Creative Economy. Keep your enthusiasm high, and stay actively engaged in digital transformation, data strengthening, and cross-sector collaboration. Don’t hesitate to build your skills continuously. Make time to explore areas such as AI, the digital economy, sustainability, and IP management. These areas will be key to helping the Ministry become more dynamic and forward-moving,” Minister Teuku Riefky said.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar also encouraged the candidates to carry out their duties with integrity and professionalism.
“There will be many challenges ahead in your work. Bureaucracy must be based on checks and balances, and we hope to foster a strong spirit of collective action as we move toward Indonesia Emas 2045 (national vision to become a just, advanced, and prosperous country by 2045, marking the centennial of Indonesia’s independence),” said Deputy Minister Irene.
The recruitment of new civil servants serves to address staffing needs within the Ministry and support the achievement of its strategic goals. According to the Decree of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 320 of 2024 concerning the Mechanism for Civil Servant Recruitment for the 2024 Fiscal Year, a total of 13,263 applicants competed for 94 available positions, all of whom have now been proposed for the issuance of official Employee Identification Numbers (NIP).
“These 94 candidates are composed of three recruitment categories: 80 from the general category, 11 from the special category for young talents from Kalimantan, and 3 persons with disabilities. In terms of age, 51 are between 22–25 years old, 32 are between 26–30, and 11 are between 31–35. This young composition is expected to shape a generation of dedicated and high-integrity civil servants who will contribute to achieving the Ministry’s Key Performance Indicator (KPI),” explained Dessy Ruhati, Secretary of the Ministry of Creative Economy.

Also present at the event were the Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi; the Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu; the Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity, Muhammad Neil El Himam; along with other senior and mid-level officials of the Ministry.
