Pipilaka Calling delivers social and environmental messages through the use of technology and is highly recommended for audiences of all ages, especially children.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, together with the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, visits the Pipilaka Calling exhibition at Sarinah Thamrin, Jakarta, Wednesday (21/1/2025).
“I am very impressed by Pipilaka Calling as an IP-based art exhibition that combines technology with moral messages across generations. I strongly recommend this exhibition for Indonesian children, as it presents immersive experiences combined with entertainment, interactive audiovisual elements, group singing, and storytelling about environmental awareness in a fun and engaging way,” said Minister Teuku Riefky during his visit to the exhibition on the 5th floor of Sarinah, Thamrin, on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
Pipilaka Calling features five interactive and educational exhibition zones, offering a unique experience unlike conventional exhibitions. Visitors are invited into the Pipilaka world, where IP characters act as storytellers, encouraging audiences to reflect on various social and environmental issues relevant to the public.
“At Sarinah, there is an immersive space where visitors can dance, sing, and take photos together with Pipilaka IP characters. The five attractions at Pipilaka Calling truly offer a fun experience for everyone. Visitors can easily access the exhibition using public transportation such as the MRT or TransJakarta buses to explore the Pipilaka universe,” added Deputy Minister Irene Umar.
Pipilaka Calling has been open to the public since 15 December 2025 and will continue until 8 March 2026, operating daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. WIB. Through a creative and enjoyable approach, visitors are encouraged to develop greater environmental awareness, experience an immersive Pipilaka concert, color Pipilaka characters, listen to stories, and interact directly in the Pipilaka Forest. “Pipilaka means ‘ant,’ which carries a philosophy of mutual cooperation. This IP is not only entertaining but also conveys positive messages, such as caring for the environment. We chose Sarinah as the immersive venue because it is a historical building, easily accessible by public transportation, and family-friendly,” explained Wahyadi Liem, Founder of the Pipilaka Foundation.
Pipilaka Calling emphasizes the philosophy of togetherness as an attitude, spirit, and form of sincere care that delivers tangible benefits through collaborative IP development. Previously, Pipilaka installations were presented at JNM Bloc Yogyakarta (26 June–28 August 2024) and Road to: Pipilaka Calling at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta (14 December 2024–2 February 2025).
“We want people across Indonesia to recognize Pipilaka not only as entertaining IP, but also as a medium for education through creativity. We hope the Ministry of Creative Economy can provide opportunities for Pipilaka to be showcased in various regions across Indonesia and connect us with partners who have new technologies, so they can be integrated with Pipilaka to make it even more engaging and advanced,” said Eno Sigit, Co-Founder of the Pipilaka Foundation.
