Jakarta, 9 November 2025 — Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed his appreciation for local brands as the new face of Indonesia’s creative industry—innovative, adaptive, and strongly characterized. During his visit to Urban Sneaker Society (USS) 2025 in Jakarta, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting young creators in competing on the global stage.

“The local brands showcased at USS represent the new face of Indonesia’s creative industry—innovative, adaptive, and distinctly character-driven. The government will continue to support the development of creative talent so they can compete globally,” said the Minister at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) Senayan, Saturday, 9 November 2026.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to strengthen engagement with young creative communities while encouraging growth in the fashion and product design subsectors, which remain key pillars of Indonesia’s creative economy.

During the visit, the Minister met with several leading local brands, including Signore, Calle, Compass, Kanky, Ortuseight, Room for Air, and Money Alter. He explored their latest collections and listened to creators share their experiences in product development and market expansion amid rising global competition.

According to the Minister, Urban Sneaker Society exemplifies cross-subsector collaboration at its best—bringing ideas, innovation, and markets together in one creative space. The event also highlights how the energy of young creators can contribute to economic growth while reinforcing Indonesia’s cultural identity.
Since its debut in 2017, USS has grown into a major creative lifestyle platform featuring more than 300 brands and communities across fashion, sports, home living, and F&B. This year, USS 2025—held at JICC Senayan from 7–9 November 2025—presented exclusive collaborations between local and international brands, showcasing the potential of cross-border creative partnerships and the strength of Indonesia’s creative innovators.
