“There are so many creative talents in Pati who must be given easier access to markets for their products and works. This will improve the welfare of creative economy actors. The Ministry of Creative Economy fully supports Pati’s vision to become a Creative Regency,” said Minister Riefky during the meeting at the Autograph Tower, Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, on Friday, July 11, 2025.
This audience followed up on a previous meeting on June 13, 2025, which discussed the creation of quality job opportunities in the regions. Today’s meeting, however, focused more on introducing and presenting young talents from Pati representing creative economy subsectors such as craft (recycled plastic woven bags, thread paintings, and charcoal drawings), performing arts (wayang and traditional dance), fashion, music, as well as film, animation, and video.
The Minister reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to accelerating the growth of each creative economy subsector in Pati. He encouraged all young talents to stay passionate and creative so that the creative economy can become a new engine of national economic growth, starting at the regional level.

“Pati’s creative talents are already empowered and should now be encouraged to be more independent. There needs to be sustainable implementation of downstreaming and commercialization of their creative products. We support the development of Pati’s creative industry so it becomes a source of pride for everyone,” he added.
Romi Astuti, Director of Fashion, emphasized that the Ministry also supports training and intellectual property rights protection for creative economy players. One key program that could be collaborated with Pati Regency is ASIK.
“We have the ASIK program to accelerate exports in fashion, craft, and culinary. The program involves capacity building through curation, bootcamps, and business matching. This is a full-scale support initiative for a brighter creative economy future,” said Romi.
During the meeting, the young creative talents from Pati received guidance and mentoring to further develop their potential in the creative economy. Pati Regency has shown an upward trend in GRDP and has promising creative subsectors ready for export. The local government also committed to establishing a dedicated Creative Economy Office.

“First, we will establish a new Organizational Structure and Work Procedures (SOTK) to enable a stand-alone Creative Economy Office. We will maintain close coordination with the Ministry of Creative Economy as a form of support for our young, talented individuals who create outstanding products and works. This reflects the abundant creativity and innovation in our region,” said Regent Sudewo.
The Regent is also optimistic that the success of the performing arts subsector, such as traditional dance, demonstrates how Pati’s talents significantly contribute to regional creative economy growth.
“In Pati, performing arts can drive the local economy down to the village level. We plan to improve the quality of our dancers to become more professional and help them generate income. For this, we have formed a team of dance trainers to visit villages. We also aim to introduce Pati’s traditional dances to the international stage and plan to build an arts center in Pati City,” said Sudewo.
