The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of showcasing Indonesian local products at international events.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, received an audience with representatives of Level Infinite, the global publisher of PUBG MOBILE, at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, Thursday (12/3/2026).
“We support and are ready to connect the gaming ecosystem with other subsectors such as local fashion and culinary brands so they can showcase their labels and collaborate in major events. We want to ensure that every international gaming tournament provides a stage for authentic Indonesian creative products,” said Irene Umar during the meeting with representatives of Level Infinite, the global publisher of PUBG MOBILE, at Autograph Tower, Jakarta on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
During the meeting, Level Infinite presented plans for the 8th anniversary celebration of PUBG MOBILE, which will be held in Surabaya, along with the upcoming international tournament PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) scheduled to take place in Jakarta this June. The series of activities will include esports competitions, community activations, and collaboration opportunities with various creative economy subsectors, including through the PUBG MOBILE Pro League Indonesia (PMPL) Spring Grand Final, which will bring together professional teams from across Indonesia.
The Deputy Minister noted that the PUBG MOBILE anniversary celebration could serve as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the global gaming industry and local creative economy players, particularly through the development of merchandise and partnerships with national brands.
“Events like this open broad collaboration opportunities for Indonesian creative economy players. The Ministry of Creative Economy can play a role in bridging and curating local brands to participate in collaborations with PUBG MOBILE,” said Irene Umar.

“For instance, through collaborations with local fashion brands that combine cultural elements such as batik or woven textiles with modern designs relevant to the gaming community. In addition, the series of events also has the potential to present various creative activations in public spaces, ranging from the use of city landmarks and public transportation to collaborations with the hospitality sector to create thematic experiences inspired by PUBG MOBILE,” Irene Umar added.
Meanwhile, PUBG MOBILE Indonesia Country Manager Agung Chaniago stated that Indonesia is one of the largest PUBG MOBILE communities in the world. Through the 8th anniversary celebration, the company aims to create experiences that are closer to the community while opening opportunities for collaboration with local creators and brands.
During the meeting, Agung Chaniago also revealed that the Surabaya celebration will serve as the official announcement moment for PUBG MOBILE’s collaboration with Tahilalats. The collaboration is the result of a matching process facilitated by the Directorate of Games at the Ministry of Creative Economy.
“The full support from the Deputy Minister gives us new enthusiasm. Collaboration with local IP is proof of Level Infinite’s commitment to grow together with Indonesian creators,” said Agung.
