Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated during the meeting that this audience represented an effort to enhance collaboration between the government and industry to elevate the quality of Indonesian game products. He emphasized that the Indonesian game industry is one of the strongest and fastest-growing subsectors of the creative economy, with enormous potential.

“The government and game industry players like AGI must work hand in hand to maximize the potential of Indonesia’s game industry, enhance its global competitiveness, and create new jobs,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting game developers and publishers through mentoring programs and initiatives designed to create tangible job opportunities. The ministry aims to accelerate the creation of high-quality jobs within the game subsector so that the industry can become a primary driver of the creative economy — the new engine of growth.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar added that through collaboration with AGI events such as Global Game Jam, IGDX, Game Prime, and Game Seed 2025, Indonesia can increase international recognition of its game industry.
