Jakarta, April 23, 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, hosted an audience with CNBC Indonesia to discuss potential collaborations in promoting the creative industry. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized the importance of highlighting creative economy subsectors, particularly gaming and animation.

"We are delighted to explore this partnership. Through the publishing power owned by CNBC Indonesia, we can enhance the exposure of Indonesia's creative industry, especially in the gaming and animation sectors," said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy during the audience, which took place at Gedung Film Pesona Indonesia on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene, stated that the digital industry is currently the pillar of Indonesia's creative economy. She also highlighted that the gaming subsector has immense potential to become a key driver of the nation's economic growth.
"By doing so, we can increase state revenue and create quality employment opportunities for the public," Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene remarked.
Furthermore, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene is optimistic about increasing the quality and quantity of Indonesian gaming and animation content, thereby boosting the creative industry's competitiveness in the global market. The aim, she continued, is to increase exports of Indonesian creative products and expand the global market.

"We hope the collaboration with CNBC Indonesia can encourage the creativity and innovation of the younger generation, thus strengthening the position of Indonesia's creative industry," Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene commented.
Meanwhile, Demis Rizky Gosta, as the Managing Editor of CNBC Indonesia, introduced his party's potential in terms of publication. He believes this collaboration will eventually benefit both parties while increasing the creative economy's contribution to national economic growth.
"Our digital platform will serve as a vessel to showcase Indonesia's creative economy potential to the world, thereby increasing international recognition of Indonesian creativity," said Demis Rizky Gosta.
