Jakarta, March 11, 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received a courtesy visit from CNN Indonesia to explore potential collaboration in strengthening Indonesia’s creative industry.

“The creative industry plays a strategic role in the national economy. Through regulatory strengthening and media collaboration, we can expand the reach and economic impact of this sector,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the meeting at Menara Merdeka, Jakarta.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that the creative economy is a priority sector under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. The creative industry is not only an emerging economic driver but also holds significant potential in intellectual property (IP) that can be commercialized.
Furthermore, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky conveyed that the Ministry of Creative Economy will revise existing regulations related to the creative industry by the end of this year. In this context, he expressed hope for concrete collaboration between the government and media to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem—ranging from publication and promotion to improving market access for creative industry players.
Editor-in-Chief of CNN Indonesia, Titin Rosmasari, welcomed the meeting and stated that the discussion was highly substantive, providing valuable insights into the Ministry of Creative Economy policies and strategies for supporting the creative industry.

“We received a very comprehensive overview of the government’s policies and strategies for supporting the creative sector. This is a great opportunity for us to contribute by amplifying news coverage and raising awareness around Indonesia’s creative economy,” said Titin Rosmasari.
CNN Indonesia also sees tremendous potential in building a mutually beneficial partnership. One potential area of collaboration involves aligning policy strategies with creative economy programs, including in publication, promotion, and the execution of events relevant to the national creative industry.
“With clear communication, we are optimistic that we can find common ground in this collaboration—creating benefits for both the Ministry of Creative Economy and the media as strategic partners,” she added.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu; Expert Staff to the Minister for Marketing Systems and Infrastructure, Septriana Tangkary; and Acting Head of the Public Communications Bureau, Kiagoos Irvan Faisal.
