Jakarta, January 30, 2025 —Teuku Riefky Harsya, Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, met with Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, to discuss the utilization of the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) and the Acceleration of Poverty Elimination.

The strategic benefits of DTSEN aim to consolidate various data that have been scattered across multiple government institutions so that they can be effectively used for policy planning, implementation, and evaluation.
"This meeting focuses on inter-ministerial collaboration to leverage DTSEN as a unified data management concept. DTSEN will specifically focus on the socio-economic data of each citizen, classified by levels of social welfare," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment's conference room on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that collaboration between government agencies in data sharing is essential for achieving common goals.
"The relationship between DTSEN and the Targeting for the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Eradication (P3KE) in the context of poverty reduction is that DTSEN serves as the primary database supporting the implementation of P3KE programs, particularly in poverty eradication efforts. Considering that most creative economy players are independent and self-sufficient, Ministry of Creative Economy role in tackling extreme poverty focuses more on facilitating the strengthening of backward and forward linkages within the value chains created by creative economy players," added Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
On the other hand, the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment welcomed the meeting positively. According to him, DTSEN incorporates five poverty indicators: cultural, structural, relative, absolute, and extreme poverty. Today's discussion mainly focused on the development of extreme poverty data, which currently affects 3.1 million people in Indonesia.
"For extreme poverty indicators, particularly those lacking access to food, clean water, and healthcare services, we will address these issues through three phases. First, we will enhance special assistance. Second, we will provide access to productive-age individuals to help improve their skills and capacities. Third, we will encourage them to become more self-sufficient and ultimately rise out of extreme poverty," said Coordinating Minister Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar.

During the meeting, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky was accompanied by the Secretary of the Ministry/Principal Secretary, Dessy Ruhati, and Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi. Also in attendance were Minister of State Secretariat, Prasetyo Hadi; Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf; Minister of Cooperatives, Budi Arie Setiadi; Minister of MSMEs, Maman Abdurrahman; Deputy Minister of P2MI, Christina Aryani; Acting Head of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasari; and Head of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency, Budiman Sudjatmiko.
