Jakarta, June 30, 2026 – Vice Minister of Creative Economy/Vice Chair of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar commended DANA Indonesia for its commitment to empowering women through the SisBerdaya program for women-led MSMEs and DisBerdaya for women with disabilities. The initiatives align with the government's efforts to foster a creative economy that is inclusive, technology-driven, and capable of expanding market access.
Vice Minister of Creative Economy/Vice Chair of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar delivers remarks during the #SisBerdaya: Women in Technology Building Businesses and Equality event in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 30, 2026).
"The digital era has become increasingly accessible through payment technologies such as QRIS, digital marketing, and financial platforms that provide equal opportunities for anyone who wants to grow. What matters most is having the courage to start, to keep learning, and to continue growing so we can develop Indonesia's creative products and bring them to a wider market," Irene said during the SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya 2026 Awards Ceremony at Rumah Kaca Melati, Jakarta, on Tuesday (June 30).
The Vice Minister also emphasized that every MSME product represents more than economic value—it carries Indonesia's stories, culture, and identity, which are among the country's greatest creative economy assets. She noted that collaboration between the government and the private sector is essential to building an ecosystem that enables women entrepreneurs in the creative economy to scale up their businesses.

"The Ministry of Creative Economy will continue expanding opportunities for creative entrepreneurs to access training programs and national as well as international initiatives. Don't limit your vision to the Indonesian market—see the world as your opportunity. Together, let us bring Indonesia's creative products and innovations to the global stage," Irene added.
Launched by DANA Indonesia in 2023, SisBerdaya has evolved into a women's empowerment program focused on strengthening the capacity of women-owned MSMEs through financial literacy, business development, and digital transformation. In 2024, DANA introduced DisBerdaya, an initiative designed to provide equal opportunities for women with disabilities to develop their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
"When SisBerdaya was first launched, it was driven by a simple belief that women deserve equal access to knowledge, technology, and opportunities. With proper mentoring, they can significantly grow their businesses. These women are not only building enterprises but also strengthening their families, communities, and local economies. Behind this program are stories of sustainable businesses, new jobs, and better lives," said Vince Iswara, CEO and Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia.
The program, which supports the digital transformation of Indonesia's creative economy, has reached more than 16,000 women across the country. In 2026, 35 finalists received recognition and participated in advanced training covering digital marketing, artificial intelligence (AI), financial literacy, and mentorship from industry practitioners and technology companies.

"We hope this program is not the end of a competition, but the beginning of a much bigger journey that helps women entrepreneurs elevate their businesses and create a broader impact on society," Vince said.
As a follow-up to the Ministry's meeting with DANA Indonesia in October 2025, the Ministry of Creative Economy also contributed a speaker to one of the SisBerdaya–DisBerdaya training sessions held in May. The session focused on Content Commerce Strategies through Affiliate and Influencer Marketing. The collaboration is expected to continue by providing learning opportunities, networking, and business acceleration for Indonesian women entrepreneurs while strengthening the national creative economy.
Also attending the event were Rosita Dewi, Head of the Inclusive Financial Economy Group at Bank Indonesia; Janet Neo, Executive Advisor of ANT International Foundation; and Olavina Harahap, Director of Communications at DANA Indonesia.
