Jakarta, July 31, 2025 - The Ministry of Creative Economy and Dicoding Indonesia are exploring a large-scale AI training collaboration for digital talents to meet the growing demand for digital jobs in the creative sector through 2026. The planned initiative will focus on strengthening several key subsectors within Indonesia’s creative economy.

“This collaboration is designed to strengthen a tech-based creative economy talent ecosystem that aligns with current industry needs,” said the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, during a meeting with Dicoding Indonesia at the Ministry’s office in Jakarta, Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Dicoding Indonesia is well known as a technology education platform that provides online courses, training programs, and certifications in programming, application development, and other digital technologies.
Since 2016, Dicoding has partnered with the Ministry of Creative Economy in delivering the Badan Ekraf Developer Day (BDD) and Badan Ekraf Digital Talent (BDT) programs. The Minister expressed readiness to continue these initiatives, in line with the Ministry’s eight flagship programs (Asta Ekraf), particularly Talenta Ekraf.

Minister Teuku Riefky also emphasized that the Ministry of Creative Economy remains open to industry input when formulating its 2026 work programs.
“For the second half of 2025, we are focused on implementing ongoing initiatives. However, for 2026, we are open to proposals for training programs that are truly relevant to emerging technological developments,” Teuku Riefky said.
CEO of Dicoding, Narenda Wicaksono, noted that the platform currently has over 1.1 million members, with 770,000 having received scholarship programs.

“Our graduates now total 190,000, and 80% of participants in intensive programs secured jobs at technology companies within six months after graduation,” Narenda explained.
The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting capacity-building for digital human resources as part of efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s creative economy.
Collaboration with platforms such as Dicoding is expected to expand training access, enhance competencies, and create more job opportunities in tech-driven creative sectors, in line with the Ministry’s flagship Asta Ekraf program, particularly Talenta Ekraf.

The meeting was also attended by Dicoding executives, including Director of Government Affairs Mutiara Arumsari, Chief Operating Officer Kevin Kurniawan, and Chief Learning Officer Oon Arfiandwi.
From the Ministry of Creative Economy, attendees included Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity Muhammad Neil El Himam, Acting Director of Applications Wahyu Wicaksono, Director for New Digital Technology Dandy Yudha Feryawan, and Head of Center for HR Development of Creative Economy Siam Wahyuni.
