Jakarta, 14 April, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) is opening opportunities for collaboration with a number of strategic partners in the United States. This initiative is expected to strengthen the national creative economy ecosystem through market access, knowledge transfer, and the development of creative talent.
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, held a virtual meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States, Dwisuryo Indroyono Soesilo, Jakarta, Tuesday (14/4/2026).
Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, stated that the United States is one of the countries with significant potential in advancing the global creative economy ecosystem.
“Countries with advanced creative economies are those with strong cultural roots. We see the United States with its locomotive in Hollywood films, followed by other creative economy subsectors. Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage must be preserved, and when combined with innovation, technology, and creativity, it will drive the growth of our creative economy,” said the Minister during the virtual meeting with the Ambassador, Tuesday (14/4).
In line with these efforts, Indonesia continues to strengthen its domestic creative economy ecosystem through the development of strategic and integrated areas. These include Singhasari Special Economic Zone (Malang), Nongsa Digital Park (Batam), and Kura Kura Bali, which are expected to serve as global collaboration hubs for national creative talents.
“We also have developments in the Sinarmas area (D-HUB SEZ) and MNC Group in Lido (Sukabumi). Our creative industry special economic zones are growing rapidly. This provides opportunities to attract investment from the United States,” added the Minister.
