Jakarta, January 17, 2025 – Indonesia’s creative economy products hold significant growth potential and public interest. To support this, the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is establishing a strategic collaboration with InJourney to enhance the competitiveness of creative economy products.

The meeting took place at the InJourney Building, Jakarta, on Friday, January 17, 2025. Representing the Ministry of Creative Economy was Deputy Minister Irene Umar, accompanied by Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity, Muhammad Neil El Himam, and Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu. Deputy Minister Irene announced the planned collaboration with InJourney, a state-owned enterprise specializing in aviation and tourism.
“We’re excited to build and develop new initiatives together with InJourney, and we are ready to continue collaborating,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

She outlined three potential areas for collaboration over the coming weeks, focusing on promoting and developing innovative creative economy products within InJourney’s assets. These include activations at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), establishing Game Corners at several airports, setting up Reading Corners, and other initiatives that leverage InJourney’s assets.
“I support the idea of a Game Corner at airports, which could also double as a Meeting Corner. We will monitor its development closely. Partnering with InJourney is crucial because they manage key assets like airports and TMII, which require creative activations to boost Indonesia’s creative economy,” Irene explained.

Agustini Rahayu, Deputy for Media Creativity, added, “The collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and InJourney is a strategic step to introduce Indonesia’s creative works—equal in quality to international products—to a broader audience, especially during major celebrations.”
Yudhistira Setiawan, Corporate Secretary Group Head of InJourney, responded positively to the collaboration plan, viewing it as the foundation for further partnership development.

“The collaboration between InJourney and the Ministry of Creative Economy is highly anticipated. It marks a continuation of efforts to develop Indonesia’s creative economy through engaging and innovative activations,” said Yudhistira.
“We hope this partnership will be sustainable and help build a long-lasting tourism ecosystem. This way, creative economy players and local IPs can gain broader recognition and contribute positively to the economy,” he added.
