Jakarta, February 26, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is strengthening its collaboration with InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). Several strategic programs were discussed to enhance future initiatives.

This was conveyed during an audience between the Ministry of Creative Economy and ITDC at Menara Merdeka, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar and President Director of ITDC, Ari Respati.
"We hope that regulations for event organization can be more structured and organized to avoid misunderstandings in the field. Moreover, we aim to present events that truly reflect Indonesian culture, including showcasing distinctive culinary experiences at major events such as MotoGP," stated Irene Umar.

ITDC is a company focused on the development and management of integrated tourism areas in Indonesia. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene also highlighted the importance of providing a comprehensive price list for various activities, including community-based events within ITDC’s tourism areas.
Additionally, Irene proposed ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based training for local residents to better manage tourist interactions, as well as collaborative programs involving persons with disabilities within the tourism and creative economy sectors.

In response, Ari Respati, President Director of ITDC, stated that this meeting opened significant opportunities for closer collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy, particularly in empowering communities within tourism areas such as Nusa Dua and Labuan Bajo.
"We host many major events that have become key agendas in the Mandalika area. In this meeting, we offered the idea of transforming these events into broader collaborative opportunities, not just limited to ITDC but also optimized by creative economy players. We want to ensure that the positive impacts of these collaborations extend beyond the events and provide sustainable economic benefits to local communities," said Ari Respati.

He also emphasized that ITDC's events are not intended to be mere ceremonial celebrations but should leave a lasting positive economic impact on surrounding communities.
"We don't want the local economy to return to a less favorable state once the events conclude. As part of the InJourney holding group, ITDC must bring tangible benefits to the community," Ari added.
During the audience, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar was accompanied by the Ministry of Creative Economy Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu; Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu; and Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity, Muhammad Neil El Himam.
The Ministry of Creative Economy remains committed to fostering collaborations that strengthen and sustain the creative economy ecosystem for the benefit of all stakeholders.
