Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar emphasized that the creative economy sector must remain an open and accessible space for all, including individuals with disabilities who possess significant creative and entrepreneurial potential.
“The creative economy is about opening space for everyone to create. Inclusivity is not only about access—it is about building fair opportunities so that talents from all backgrounds, including friends with disabilities, can grow and thrive,” said the Deputy Minister during an audience meeting with the Layak Insan Mandiri Foundation at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday, 5 November 2025.
The Deputy Minister further noted that the hexahelix approach—collaboration among government, academia, industry, communities, media, and financial institutions—is essential in strengthening the role of the disability community within the creative sector.
