Jakarta, March 18, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy is strengthening its collaboration with the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board to promote investment in the creative economy sector. This strengthened partnership aims to create high-quality job opportunities for the youth.

The meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreamingbuilding, was attended by the Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya and the Minister of Investment & Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani.
"The development of the creative industry and downstream will directly impact the increase in added value and the creation of high-quality jobs," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky during the meeting on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also mentioned that this meeting strengthens the collaboration in boosting investment in the creative economy, a key priority outlined in the Asta Cita document, which focuses on developing the creative industry (Asta Cita no. 3) and continuing downstream (Asta Cita no. 5). Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that the development of the creative industry and downstream will directly contribute to added value and the creation of quality jobs.

"The cooperation between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Ministry of Investment & Downstreaming/BKPM is essential to drive the growth of the creative economy," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
To this end, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky stressed the importance of renewing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM. This renewal is expected to strengthen the synergy between the two ministries in supporting the growth of investment in the creative economy that creates high-quality jobs for the youth.

Furthermore, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also highlighted that the consolidation of creative economy investment data based on the 2025-2029 RPJMN (National Medium-Term Development Plan) is a strategic step. This data consolidation is expected to provide a more accurate picture of the potential and challenges in developing the creative economy in Indonesia, enabling more targeted and effective policies to support sustainable growth in the creative economy and position it as the "new engine of growth," which will drive Indonesia's economic growth toward the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
"Consolidating creative economy investment data based on the 2025-2029 RPJMN is a strategic step to support sustainable growth in the creative economy," explained Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
Also present at the meeting were Tirta Nugraha Mursitama, Deputy for Investment Cooperation at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming, and from the Ministry of Creative Economy, Secretary of the Ministry/Domestic Secretary Dessy Ruhati and Deputy for Strategic Development of Creative Economy Cecep Rukendi.

Under the leadership of Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya, the Ministry of Creative Economy/BKPM aims to create 27 million job opportunities, especially for the youth, within the next five years, focusing on high-quality employment creation.
Assisted by Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Minister of the Creative Economy Agency, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky is driving the 17 subsectors of the creative economy to realize the vision and mission of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, particularly Asta Cita no. 3, which focuses on increasing quality employment, encouraging entrepreneurship, and developing the creative industry.
Through strengthening the ecosystem in a hexahelix model, the Ministry of Creative Economy/BKPM is expected to become the new engine of growth for the national economy, starting from the regions.
