Jakarta, 18 November 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, through the Directorate of New Digital Technology, in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), held the Demo Day of Infinity Hackathon 2025. The program provides a platform for innovators, developers, and top national talent to create without limits, building the foundation for a more secure, advanced, and trusted digital financial future in Indonesia.

Deputi Bidang Kreativitas Digital dan Teknologi Kementerian Ekraf, Muhammad Neil El Himam, memberi sambutan pada acara Demo Day Infinity Hackathon 2025 berlangsung di Satoo Garden, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Selasa (18/11/2025).

“The Ministry of Creative Economy aims to present concrete solutions that expand opportunities in Indonesia’s digital creative economy through Infinity Hackathon 2025. Demo Day is not the end, but rather the beginning of a broader initiative where blockchain can unlock new monetization models, such as creative asset tokenization and transparent creative supply chains. The Ministry of Creative Economy and OJK are committed to accelerating follow-up initiatives and supporting the adoption of the best selected projects,” said Muhammad Neil El Himam, Deputy for Digital Creativity and Technology at the Ministry of Creative Economy, on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.

Infinity Hackathon 2025 was launched on 8 October 2025, followed by a roadshow in four cities: Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Bandung. The program attracted 757 registrants, of which 121 participants submitted proposals and underwent mentoring and workshop sessions. After a rigorous selection process, 10 finalists were chosen to present their innovations at Demo Day.

Demo Day was held at Satoo Garden, Shangri-La Hotel, supported by the Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI) and BlockDevId. With the theme “Accelerating the Creative Economy Through Digital Innovation and Decentralization,” Infinity Hackathon 2025 forms part of the digital transformation of the creative economy, regarded as Indonesia’s new engine of growth.

According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia), the creative economy contributed over IDR 1,500 trillion to GDP in 2024 and employed 27.4 million people as of the first semester of 2025. Blockchain technology is seen as a key enabler of digital trust fundamental to the sector’s growth.

Infinity Hackathon 2025 focused on five subthemes: Digital Rights and Authentication, Transparent Creative Supply Chain, DeFi for Creative Economy, NFT-powered Creativity, and GameFi,” explained Deputy Neil.

Djoko Kurnijanto, Head of Financial Technology, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets Regulation and Licensing at OJK, added that Infinity Hackathon 2025 goes beyond creating innovative digital financial projects—it represents an evolving digital finance ecosystem supported by OJK.
