Jakarta, March 5, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has partnered with the Public Broadcasting Institution Radio Republik Indonesia (LPP RRI) as a strategic step in developing the creative economy. This collaboration coincides with the launch of RRI’s Musicpreneur program, aimed at supporting Indonesia’s music industry through an entrepreneurial approach.

"We continue to collaborate across ministries and institutions, including RRI, which has a broad reach extending to the most remote parts of the country. This MoU opens opportunities to share data on Indonesia’s music potential and activate RRI offices in various regions to engage more creative economy players, such as local musicians and content creators," said the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky personally signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RRI. Additionally, Ministry of Creative Economy also signed MoUs with three advertising associations: the Indonesian Advertising Companies Association (P3I), the Indonesian Out-of-Home Media Companies Association (AMLI), and the Indonesian Advertising Production House Association (IRPII).

Regarding Musicpreneur, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky hopes the program will encourage the creation of musical works while strengthening the music industry ecosystem through digital-based production, distribution, and marketing. He emphasized that this initiative would enable musicians to reach global audiences, create new revenue streams, and contribute to national economic growth.
"We hope this program can serve as an incubation platform for Indonesian musicians to become more professional and competitive. Besides market access, we are also focusing on providing guidance on intellectual property rights. Moving forward, this collaboration will be expanded, similar to what we have done with TVRI," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.
"Let music be the driving force that brings Indonesia’s name to the global stage," he added.

As part of this collaboration, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also participated in a special podcast recording ahead of National Music Day on March 9. During the session, he encouraged musicians and industry players to continue creating and collaborating to build a stronger and more inclusive music ecosystem.
"The government is committed to supporting the music industry through musician-friendly regulations, adequate infrastructure, and streamlined licensing processes. Let’s make Indonesian music a source of national pride on the global stage," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Meanwhile, the President Director of the Public Broadcasting Institution Radio Republik Indonesia (LPP RRI), Ignatius Hendrasmo, stated that this program serves as a special gift for the celebration of National Music Day on March 9, 2025. He emphasized that music is not merely an art form but also a powerful economic driver for Indonesia.
"Music is not just an art or a complement to daily life; it has the potential to boost the economy. The Musicpreneur program will serve as a platform for creative economy fighters—specifically, music industry MSMEs—helping them promote their work, gain education on branding, marketing, and monetization, and utilize digital tools to reach a wider audience," said Hendrasmo.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Ministry of Creative Economy officials, including Secretary of the Ministry/Principal Secretary Dessy Ruhati, Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu, Director for Advertising Selliane Halia Ishak, Director for Television and Radio Pupung Thariq Fadhilah, and Director for Music Muhammad Amin Abdullah.
