Jakarta, June 8, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy has expressed its appreciation for the film Hayya 3: Gaza, which premiered on Saturday, June 8, 2025. The ministry voiced its support for the film, which highlights global humanitarian issues.

“This film not only inspires but also serves as a medium to convey empathy. It creates an extraordinary atmosphere and creative space. We are from the Ministry of Creative Economy, deeply appreciate this film, as Indonesian filmmakers have proven that Indonesian films can reflect unity, peace, and solidarity to the world,” said Dessy Ruhati, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Creative Economy, during the gala premiere of Hayya 3: Gaza at CGV Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.
“God willing, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will amplify this film. Let us make Hayya 3: Gaza one of the most-watched films, not only in Indonesia, but globally,” Dessy added.
The presence of the Ministry of Creative Economy representatives at the premiere reflects the government’s strong support for Indonesian films that spotlight global humanitarian issues. It also reinforces the crucial role of the creative economy sector in voicing values of solidarity, peace, and humanity as the key elements of Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy on the world stage.
Hayya 3: Gaza is the third installment in the Hayya film series, known for its religious and humanitarian themes, produced by Warna Kreasi Sinema. The third chapter focuses on the struggle and suffering of the people of Gaza, Palestine, told through powerful emotional narratives and engaging visuals. Beyond the conflict, the film emphasizes themes of humanity, love, and hope amid hardship.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also expressed full support for the production and distribution of Hayya 3: Gaza. This support is part of Indonesia’s cultural diplomacy strategy to share Indonesian humanitarian messages to the international community while strengthening the domestic film industry as a vital instrument of national soft power.
“The genocide in Palestine continues to serve as an unending source of inspiration for filmmakers, artists, cultural practitioners, musicians, and everyone involved in the cultural and creative industries. They can continue producing even more creative works inspired by the ongoing genocide in Palestine,” said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anis Matta at the event.
Together, the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hope that Hayya 3: Gaza will serve as a milestone in raising public awareness about global humanitarian issues, while encouraging the growth of Indonesia’s film industry as a contributor to global peace efforts.
Also present at the event were Agustini Rahayu, Deputy for Media Creativity at the Ministry of Creative Economy; Doni Setiawan, Director for Film, Animation, and Video at the Ministry of Creative Economy; and Ani Nigeriawati, Director for Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
