Jakarta, 29 January, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) strengthened its support and explored opportunities to enhance Indonesia-Thailand creative economy cooperation, particularly in the music subsector and content-based industries.

Their performances received positive responses from international audiences and stakeholders in the global music industry. BMC 2026 featured over 80 Asian and international musicians performing across eight stages in public spaces throughout Bangkok.
“We also appreciate Bangkok Music City as an international music industry forum that integrates conferences, business matching, and music showcases, making it recognized as the most influential music subsector platform in Southeast Asia. This participation can strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy diplomacy, particularly in the music subsector,” added Deputy Minister Irene.
Deputy Minister Irene also highlighted the potential for Indonesia-Thailand collaboration in music, content, and festivals, as well as the importance of strengthening a creative economy ecosystem based on intellectual property (IP) and expanding access to global markets. The opportunity was also used to invite the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) of Thailand to participate in the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026 in Indonesia as a strategic forum for enhancing regional and global creative economy cooperation.

On the same flight, Linkers magazine, Citilink’s in-flight magazine, distributed a special edition in collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy and Astagraphia, featuring profiles of Indonesia’s creative economy champions and the 2026 national creative economy development agenda.
