Jakarta, 26 October 2025 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar expressed her appreciation for Pasar Malem Narasi at GBK Urban Forest. The presence of Deputy Minister Irene was part of the government’s support for creative events that encourage the contribution of the creative sector to the national economy.

“Pasar Malem Narasi has successfully provided a space for creative economy stakeholders to further introduce the strength of our local creative economy to the public. This event also coincides with the celebration month of National Creative Economy Day, during which, through the OktoBerkreasi campaign, we support creative events across Indonesia as platforms for collaboration, expression, and growth for creative economy players across various subsectors,” said Deputy Minister Irene on Sunday, 26 October 2025.
Pasar Malem Narasi, organized by digital media company Narasi, carried the theme “Hiburan Asli Tjap Indonesia” and took place on 25–26 October 2025. The event featured rides, a music stage, as well as a bazaar of local culinary and creative products, serving as a space for creative industry players to interact more closely with the public.
Deputy Minister rene added that the organization of Pasar Malem Narasi reflects the collaborative spirit that is key to the development of the national creative economy. According to her, the event not only serves as entertainment for the public, but also as an empowerment platform for creative actors across subsectors to showcase their work, expand networks, and increase business opportunities.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy focuses on developing 17 subsectors, and at this event, creative economy players from the fashion, culinary, design, and music subsectors are given a stage to demonstrate their capabilities while expanding collaborative networks with other creative players. This is the spirit we continue to promote—that every local creation has great potential to grow and contribute to the national economy,” said Deputy Minister Irene.
Furthermore, Deputy Minister Irene emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, the private sector, and communities in creating a sustainable ecosystem for creative economy stakeholders. According to her, initiatives such as Pasar Malem Narasi are tangible evidence of how cross-sector collaboration can drive the creative value chain, create new jobs, and strengthen Indonesia’s position as the new engine of growth.
“With the great potential we have, in terms of talent, ideas, and cultural richness, the creative economy is the future of Indonesia’s economy. The government will continue to be present in opening collaborative spaces so that more creative actors can grow and develop, making the creative economy the main driver of nationally competitive growth on a global scale,” concluded Deputy Minister Irene.

Pasar Malem Narasi featured various local fashion and culinary brands such as Papinka, Pallubasa Serigala, Ayam Keprabon, Kopi Sagaleh, Mad Bagel, and others. In addition, the music subsector was also highlighted with performances by the band Wali on the first day and Mollucan Soul enlivening the peak of the event. The nostalgic atmosphere of a traditional night market was further enhanced by the presence of rides such as a Ferris wheel, kora-kora, and a haunted house, attracting visitors from various regions.
