The film introduces the character Jonathan, who is taken by surprise by the presence of a woman named Sore, who claims to be his wife from the future. Gradually, Jonathan comes to believe her as Sore knows detailed aspects of his life, including information related to the time of his death.
The success of Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan is particularly commendable as it was previously produced in the form of a web series before being developed into a feature-length film by director Yandy Laurens. As his fourth feature film, the work has also succeeded in attracting wide public attention through its soundtrack.
