Jakarta, April 14, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy was honored to attend the Joint Concert celebrating 75 Years of Indonesia–Russia Diplomatic Relations. Deputy for Creative Economy Strategic Development, Cecep Rukendi, attended the event as the official representative of the Ministry of Creative Economy.

The concert, held at Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta on Monday, April 14, 2025, showcased music and culture from both Indonesia and Russia. This moment marked the celebration of Indonesia–Russia friendship in conjunction with the 13th Session of the Indonesia–Russia Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, and Technical Cooperation.
“Both in Russia and Indonesia, folk culture preserves fundamental values and strengthens the unity and cohesion of society. Works of traditional folk art are a significant part of our intangible cultural heritage—heritage that nurtures respect and pride for cultural traditions that must be preserved from generation to generation,” said Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.
Deputy Cecep expressed his appreciation for the invitation to attend the event, calling the occasion a testament to the growing strength of Indonesia–Russia relations.
“Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity to witness this joint concert. This is a high-level diplomatic and cultural forum that strengthens bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia. We must continue to expand our collaboration in the creative economy sector going forward,” said Deputy Cecep.
The event was made even more special by the attendance of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. From Indonesia, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartanto and Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha Djumaryo were also present.

“Under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia continues to strengthen ties with Russia. By emphasizing mutual respect, cultural exchange, and strategic partnership, the arts emerge as powerful expressions through music, dance, poetry, and theater—forms that spark deep creativity. Through the arts, friendship offers not only cultural beauty but also contributes to global peace,” said Deputy Minister of Culture Giring.
The event featured captivating cultural performances from both nations. Indonesia was represented by the Pendet Dance from Bali accompanied by gamelan music and the UNESCO-recognized Saman Dance from Aceh. Meanwhile, Russia showcased the renowned M.E. PYATNITSKY Russian Academic Folk Choir and the National Academic Honored Dance Ensemble of Dagestan, Lezginka.
A special collaborative performance highlighted the evening with a duet by Farman Purnama (Indonesia) and Oksana Chernyaeva (Russia), who performed Sio Mama and Panon Hideung as a unique intercultural presentation. The concert concluded with a Russian rendition of Rayuan Pulau Kelapa performed by the M.E. PYATNITSKY Choir.
