The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, directly reviewed the free health check-up (CKG) area featured at the National Chinese New Year Festival 2026 at Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, Monday (February 23, 2026).
This program is part of the government’s commitment to providing accessible, free healthcare services that reach all segments of society.
Visitors of the National Chinese New Year Festival can undergo comprehensive health check-ups, ranging from blood pressure and blood sugar tests to hepatitis, dental, tuberculosis, and breast cancer screenings. This is important for early detection and to better understand public health conditions.

“Health check-ups are necessary for everyone, including those who feel healthy. Early detection is essential, as it enables us to remain productive and take care of the families who depend on us,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar at Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta, Monday (February 23).
She further added that the government continues to create collaborative spaces to provide easy access for the public to obtain free health check-ups, including through the organization of national events. This effort is expected to increase the number of beneficiaries of the program. In 2026, the government targets 136 million participants to benefit from this priority program.
To deliver an engaging visual experience, the organizers of the National Chinese New Year Festival 2026, together with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, also collaborated with local intellectual property (IP) Halomiyu.

“Collaboration between ministries and local IP demonstrates that creativity can serve as an effective bridge to expand health education for the public and creative communities. By partnering with local IP such as Halomiyu, health messages can be packaged in a more approachable and relatable way, making them easier to understand and accept,” she explained.
The National Chinese New Year Festival 2026 is presented as a lunar new year celebration that highlights Indonesia’s diversity through arts, traditions, and culinary experiences. Chinese New Year is not positioned solely as a celebration of the Chinese community, but as a shared space for all Indonesians in the spirit of harmony and unity.
