Jakarta, 9 December 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency welcomes and explores potential collaboration with PT Simpul Aksara Grup (Simpul) to support the upcoming publication of the book 100+ Selected Interior Stores in Jakarta, scheduled for release in January 2026. This curated volume is expected to strengthen the designer ecosystem by highlighting unique value propositions rooted in local craftsmanship and creativity.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi PT Simpul Aksara Grup (Simpul) untuk mendukung penerbitan buku "100+ Gerai Interior Pilihan Jakarta”, di Hotel Royal Kuningan, Jakarta, Selasa (9/12/2025).
“For Indonesia to compete with countries whose industrial ecosystems are already advanced, our creative talents must think about how we scale the selling. This book will certainly help build a stronger, more innovative interior design ecosystem with a distinctive character, with culture as its continuous source of inspiration in sustaining the creative process,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar during an audience and in-depth interview at Royal Kuningan Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, 9 December 2025.
The book will feature curated selections of interior decoration stores and architectural showrooms, serving as references for designers, architects, creative economy practitioners, and the public seeking creative design inspiration. 100+ Selected Interior Stores in Jakarta marks the third edition of the curated directory series, following previous publications for Jakarta (2017) and Bali (2018).
“Indonesia possesses remarkable richness in materials, cultural traditions, and craftsmanship. If you can dedicate a few pages of the book to highlight information on craftsmanship—especially legendary ones with unique selling points—it would certainly be more compelling. Even more so if the book has an English version for broader distribution,” the Deputy Minister added.

Meanwhile, Simpul’s Creative Director, Fryza Pavitta, explained that the more-than-200-page publication aims to provide trusted guidance and recommendations on Jakarta’s best interior stores and brands, document the development of Indonesia’s interior design industry, and strengthen public appreciation for creative industry contributors, particularly in the interior design and architecture subsectors.
“We have conducted a thorough curation process for brands with strong design values, and we ensure that no design plagiarism is included in this book. Looking ahead, we hope that the expertise of interior designers and product designers becomes increasingly absorbed by the creative industry, allowing their practical work to gain greater public recognition,” said Fryza Pavitta.
