Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency Explores Collaboration on the Digitalization of Hajj and Umrah Services with Pilgrim Pal

Jakarta, 4 February 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) explored opportunities for collaboration with Pilgrim Pal to develop the digital application subsector that supports the implementation of Hajj and Umrah services.

The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, explored opportunities for collaboration on the digitalization of Hajj and Umrah services with Pilgrim Pal at the Office of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Jakarta, Wednesday (4/2/2026).

This potential collaboration aims to encourage technology-based creative economy actors to scale up, expand into global markets, and contribute to improving the quality of public services.

“The Pilgrim Pal application is well developed and can be fostered by the Ministry of Creative Economy to facilitate pilgrims while assisting travel agents in realizing digital transformation in the Hajj and Umrah sector. We are ready to provide official endorsement and would like to introduce this application to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya during a meeting with representatives of Pilgrim Pal at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday (4/2).

Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky welcomed the innovation created by the nation’s talent that integrates technology with religious services. According to him, the development of applications such as Pilgrim Pal has the potential to establish a Hajj and Umrah service ecosystem that is safer, more efficient, and more inclusive.

“The innovation and further development of the Pilgrim Pal application must continue to be encouraged so that it can compete globally while delivering tangible benefits to millions of Indonesian pilgrims. We are also ready to connect this application with trusted travel agents such as Al Amin Universal Tours and Kasiumrah by Kasisolusi for further collaboration,” added Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

During the meeting, the CEO of Pilgrim Pal presented the startup’s role as a comprehensive end-to-end technology solution, covering pilgrim data management systems, document and financial management, accommodation and travel arrangements, as well as pilgrim-oriented features such as location tracking, instant navigation, language translation, and a 3D manasik simulation accessible through personal devices.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy has responded very swiftly in facilitating meeting agendas tailored to our needs. The more we are introduced to travel agencies, the larger our customer base and the greater the benefits we can achieve. We will also continue to seek collaborations, including introducing this application to Hajj and Umrah associations as well as integrating it with digital payment systems,” said Garibaldy Wibowo Mukti, CEO of Pilgrim Pal.
