Ministry of Creative Economy Encourages Collaboration Between Games of Society and Local IP

Jakarta, 23 September 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy is promoting a strategic collaboration between Games of Society, which oversees several prestigious futsal tournaments, and various local intellectual properties (IP). This initiative aims to create new economic value through merchandise, digital content, and creative activations targeting the youth.

Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi dari perwakilan Games of Society, Jakarta, Selasa (23/09/2025).

“We see great potential in combining Games of Society with local brands or IP through souvenir collaborations and other creative products. This will add economic value to the creative sector while expanding market reach,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, during an audience with Games of Society representatives at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Tuesday, 23 September 2025.

The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy emphasized the Ministry’s support in strengthening the sports IP ecosystem. She noted that involvement from creative industry players can drive innovation and enhance the appeal of sporting events at both national and global levels.

Games of Society encompasses several prestigious futsal events, including Futsal Series, National Collegiate Futsal Series, Grand National Futsal Series, and X Series. The concept not only presents competitive sports but also creates spaces for cultural interaction and engagement with the creative economy.

“Collaborating with local IP will be a strong combination, especially with our Gen Z fanbase. Futsal can unite regions from Aceh to Papua, foster healthy rivalries, and develop young talent through the Student Ambassador Series and Young Pro Players. With support from various stakeholders, we are confident that Games of Society can become a driving force for Indonesia’s creative sports industry,” said Novel.

The Ministry of Creative Economy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting cross-industry innovation and collaboration. Integrating Games of Society with local brands and IP is expected to serve as a model for developing sports IP that enhances economic value, strengthens cultural identity, and provides broad benefits for the community.
