Ministry of Creative Economy Encourages Creative Economy Practitioners in Pacitan to Level Up Through Business Literacy

Pacitan, 25 August 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy, through collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Mandiri, and the Pacitan Regency Government, strengthened business literacy for creative economy practitioners at the SBY-ANI Museum and Gallery, Pacitan, East Java. The program is part of an acceleration effort contributing to the capacity-building of Pacitan’s creative entrepreneurs to manage businesses more intelligently, adaptively, and competitively, enabling them to level up.

The Business Literacy activity in Pacitan is not the first. Similar initiatives were previously held in Bekasi, Surabaya, and Depok. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya emphasized the importance of business literacy as a fundamental foundation for the advancement of creative economy enterprises.

“The Ministry of Creative Economy is fully committed to supporting the growth of Indonesia’s creative economy ecosystem. Through business literacy, we hope business actors can manage their enterprises more professionally, innovatively, and sustainably,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

In Pacitan, Business Literacy for Creative Economy Enterprises was not limited to an intensive material presentation but also designed with deeper interaction. Participant enthusiasm remained high throughout a series of materials delivered in two sessions, allowing attendees to gain a comprehensive understanding of business management, financing access, and challenges in the digital era.

“Through business literacy, we want to ensure that creative economy practitioners in Pacitan not only survive, but also grow, develop, and become drivers of regional economic progress,” stated the Ministry’s Director of Access to Financing, Funding, and Investment Development Anggara Hayun Anujuprana while delivering guidance at the event.

In the first session, participants received insights on fundamental aspects such as basic business literacy, the importance of caution in investments, and risks of illegal online loans. Materials were delivered by:

  • Director of Access to Financing, Funding, and Investment Development, Ministry of Creative Economy, Anggara Hayun Anujuprana on Introduction to Business Literacy for Creative Economy Entrepreneurs.

  • Acting Head of the Financial Services Business Conduct Supervision, Consumer Protection, Education, and Strategic Management Services Division of OJK, Dyah Purnamasari, presenting materials on Investment Awareness, Online Loans, Online Gambling, and socialization of the Financial Information Service System (SLIK).

“Business literacy is a crucial foundation to support Pacitan’s creative entrepreneurs in leveling up, especially amid challenges of digitalization and shifting consumer behavior,” Anggara said while presenting in the session held on Saturday, 23 August 2025.

The second session focused on practical business strategies including fundamentals of entrepreneurship, business management, and financial administration. The following speakers provided presentations:

  • Micro Business Head Bank Mandiri Region 8 Surabaya, East Java, Irfan Rudiyanto on Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

  • Micro Business Cluster Manager Bank Mandiri Madiun, M. Luthfi on Financing and Digital Transformation.

They also introduced banking products and digital applications such as Livin’ Merchant by Mandiri to support integrated digital transformation for businesses. With an interactive discussion format, practical sharing sessions and Q&A became lively. Participants not only received theoretical insight but also applicable strategies to develop their enterprises.

The Business Literacy activity was opened with remarks from the Head of the Office of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports of Pacitan Regency, Turmudi. The program was also enlivened by the presence of actor Dennis Adhiswara, known for his role as Mamet in the film Ada Apa Dengan Cinta. His presence helped engage and inspire the creative economy community in Pacitan to level up.

The Ministry of Creative Economy remains committed to delivering educational and collaborative programs as a form of equitable human resource development in realizing the tangible implementation of independence. Business Literacy activities will continue to provide optimism for creative economy practitioners from various regions to be ready to face business challenges, expand access to financing, and transform their enterprises digitally.
