Jakarta, 23 December 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy / Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar discussed potential collaboration in strengthening data, research, and publications of the national creative economy ecosystem as a step to expand opportunities for young creators. Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi Whiteboard Journal, bahas potensi kolaborasi dalam penguatan data, riset, dan publikasi ekosistem ekonomi kreatif nasional. Jakarta, Selasa (23/12/2025).
“Cross-sector collaboration and creative media partnerships are key to opening broader opportunities for young creators. Through appropriate research and publications, we can strengthen creative economy literacy while encouraging the younger generation to become drivers of the national creative industry,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the audience at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
Whiteboard Journal is an independent media platform based on creative content and editorial research that highlights various topics within the creative ecosystem, including art, design, music, film, fashion, and culture. The media provides insights and narratives that help readers understand trends and dynamics within the creative industry, thereby supporting literacy and the development of creative communities, particularly among the younger generation.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Irene emphasized the importance of expanding young creators’ access to sponsors and creative programs through hexahelix collaboration. She also underscored the strengthening of a data-driven creative economy ecosystem as a crucial step in supporting young creators.
“Accurate and easily accessible information will help young creators make better decisions, expand opportunities, and encourage sustainable growth of the creative industry. We encourage an end-to-end approach first, starting from data mapping and publications to program activation, before conducting broader surveys, so that creators have a platform to showcase their work and connect with real opportunities. Platforms such as EKRAF Hub serve as an important means to realize this,” she added.

M. Hilmi Khoirul Umam, Head of Content at Whiteboard Journal, stated that Whiteboard Journal focuses on disseminating creative content and in-depth research, as well as developing creative economy literacy among the younger generation.
“We aim to map discourse, strengthen, and empower creative communities through digital content, feature articles, and reflective research-based publications. Through this approach, information on the creative economy ecosystem can be more easily accessed and understood, while also encouraging evidence-based decision-making within the creative industry,” he said.
“Therefore, we see the need for closer collaboration with the government to strengthen research, publications, and programs that support the development of young creators in Indonesia,” he added.
