"Monetization aspects need to be considered from the beginning to ensure that development is sustainable and does not stop midway. The strengthening of local IP can be carried out gradually, for example through collaboration with established IPs, while also building a strong platform for the creation of new IPs," said Irene Umar.
She added the importance of quality development and content governance in digital platforms for children.
"Development must be carried out thoroughly and efficiently, not merely to capture initial interest. Children’s content must be safe, curated, and involve experts, including cultural specialists, to ensure that the messages conveyed remain accurate and responsible," she added.

The audience also discussed the development of the Nusa Tara and IOTA Kids platforms as educational and edutainment tools for children from early childhood education (PAUD) to elementary school. These platforms are designed to support the School Literacy Movement and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
Chief Operating Officer of PT IOTA Kreatif Media, Ratna Yoes, explained that Nusa Tara is being developed as an interactive learning platform that strengthens children’s local IP through storytelling and characters that resonate with children’s daily lives.
Through Nusa Tara, we hope to gain support from the Ministry of Creative Economy, particularly in the form of network facilitation, exposure, and involvement in various creative economy programs and events, so that children’s local IPs can grow and become competitive," said Ratna.
