Ministry of Creative Economy Holds Friends of Creative Economy Meeting, Discusses Strategic Creative Economy Issues with 50 Countries

Jakarta, 21 October 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy (MoCE) organized the Friends of Creative Economy (FCE) Meeting 2025 as part of preparations for Indonesia’s role as host of the 5th World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) in 2026. The FCE Meeting 2025 served as a platform for 300 participants from 50 countries to discuss a range of strategic issues in the creative economy sector.

Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, memberi sambutan pada Opening Session friends of Creative Economy Meeting (FCE) 2025 di Ballroom Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, Selasa (21/10/2025).

“Our gathering at this FCE Meeting reflects our shared commitment to shaping a promising future for the creative economy. We hope this forum will generate ideas and recommendations that can have a tangible impact on the development of the global creative economy ecosystem,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya in his opening remarks at the FCE Meeting 2025 held at Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 21 October 2025.

The FCE Meeting 2025 carries the theme Glocalisation of Creative Economy: Policies, Practices, Partnerships. The agenda focuses on exploring opportunities to strengthen global policies that are aligned with local wisdom in each country, while also fostering inclusive global standards.

“In Indonesia, we continue to work hard and remain committed to making this sector one of the pillars of economic growth. Over the past 11 years, the creative economy has shown promising trends, including increased employment absorption, contributions to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), growth in export value, and investment,” said Minister Teuku Riefky.

This moment is particularly significant as it coincides with the first anniversary of the Ministry of Creative Economy. The Minister emphasized that efforts to strengthen the creative economy ecosystem can only succeed if all elements collaborate and actively participate, especially in building global networks.

FCE is an international forum attended by leading figures in the creative industries from various countries to discuss current and strategic issues, which will serve as recommendations for the global creative economy agenda to be further deliberated at the 5th edition of the WCCE in 2026, to be attended by world leaders.
